THE BANKING SYSTEM OF UKRAINE IS CONFIDENTLY OUT OF THE CRISIS

September 13, 2021 Rating agency “Standard-Rating” (Ukraine) summed up the results of its thirty fourth «Reliability rating of banking deposits». The results of the first half of 2021 year indicate that the Ukrainian banking system is confidently emerging from the crisis: banks' loan portfolios and resource base continue to grow. For the first 6 months of 2021 year clients’ funds in total increased by 4,5%. The quality of the banks’ loan portfolios continued to improve, including due to issuing new loans. The 33 banks from the 56 ones, which participated in the rating, showed the NPL level decrease in the loan portfolio, only the 6 banks fixed a loss-making activity. Mostly banks with foreign capital and state-owned banks firmly established themselves in the group of rating leaders.
