February 6, the Rating agency “Standard-Rating” conducted a review of the index basket SDR-50. Two banks – Industrialbank and TAScombank, which during the long time didn’t raise resources for the 12 months that made impossible their participation in the calculation of the annual SDR-50, were excluded from the calculated basket. New banks-participators of calculating the index basket are Misto Bank and Energobank. According to the Regulation on calculation of the indicative rate SDR-50 the Agency performs a regular review of the composition of the calculated basket, excluding those banks, on which it is impossible to identify the benchmark deposit or those, which experience some problems with creditors.  In the period from 30 January to 6 February the wave of reducing rates on deposits in national currency reached the large Ukrainian banks. Over the past week the 18 banks changed their deposit programs, including on deposits in national currency – the 14 banks. There were about 30 corrections on deposits in hryvnia, in dollars – 20, in euro – 12. The bankers convulsively changed interest rates, mostly downward, and all that took place against the background of a clear reduction in interest rates on the three-month deposits in national currency. Thus, in the first week of  February the three-month SDR-50 in national currency fell by 0,44 p.p.
