The banking system of Ukraine survived last year with difficulties, although not with so large as they were in the first crisis years (2009-2010). Last year the banks had serious threats related to raising funds and maintaining liquidity at the necessary level. That wasn’t easy. That is why the banks “found” a recipe of survival in the form of increasing interest rates on deposits, which increased almost up to 31% per annum in some institutions.
