The period of drop in rates on deposits for individuals, seems to be suspended. From February 21 to February 27, banks have already less actively reduced rates and changed their deposit programs. There have been 38 corrections over the week, including 17 on deposits in hryvnia, 11 – in US dollars and 10 – in euro. As a result, the maximum decrease in SDR-50 has been fixed on the three-month deposits in euro at the level 0,07 p.p. Therefore, a clearly expressed downward trend has remained unchanged. SDR-50 on all the currencies and terms has continued to decline, the only exception has been the annual SDR-50 in UAH, which has grown by 0,15 p.p. over the last week. In the Agencys opinion, this is the way the banks have reacted to the decrease in liquidity, for the first time since the beginning of the month the balances on correspondent accounts of Ukrainian banks in NBU declined to less than UAH 25 bn.
