December 2, 2019 Rating agency “Standard-Rating” (Ukraine) summed up the results of its twenty seventh «Reliability rating of banking deposits». The results of the 9 months of 2019 for the Ukrainian banking system continued the tradition of the indicative growth. Total volume of the banks’ profit after taxation for the 9 months of 2019 amounted to almost UAH 48,35 bn, volume of net interest income exceeded UAH 59,5 bn, and net commission income — UAH 32,3 bn. If one compares to the indicators of the same period of 2018, the banks’ profit grew in 4,4 times, net interest income – 18%, net commission income – 14%. The 32 banks from the 60 ones, which participated in the rating, showed the NPL decrease (share of bad loans), only the 5 banks showed loss and only one bank from the 60 ones had a negative net interest income. The banks confidently entered the period of profitability growth.
