On September, 29^th special issue of the newspaper “Uryadovy Kuryer” published the rating of reliability of the Ukrainian banks, calculated based on the public information of banks following the results of H1 2011. The rating included 90 Ukrainian banks from which 26 received the highest estimate of reliability at the level ua.1.

Making comments on the results of the published rating, Agency director said: “Revival of crediting and decrease of redundant liquidity are obvious”. The banks started to put money in the real sector, this being the first serious indication on that the macroeconomic stabilization produced an effect. The threat of unprofitable work of banks caused by low volume of earning assets, which existed in the beginning of the year, has simply disappeared. Now the most important is to continue maintaining monetary stability and in 2-3 months the credit money will go for population crediting. That will consolidate the tendency of economic growth which was supported by NBU and the government in the first 8 months of 2011”.
