Decline in activity in the deposit market

Over the past week from August 14 to August 21 the activity of changes in the rates of deposits for individuals has markedly declined. Decline in activity is related, on the one hand, to the end of the vacation period, on the other hand – to the prospect of tightening of requirements for savings banks, which may lead to the fact that banks are not interested to increase its portfolio of deposits to the population. The rate SDR-50 in UAH for 12 months has decreased by 0,05 p.p. over a week and has amounted to 17,89%. The minimum rate in this category has amounted to 10,75% per annum.
